Bronx, NY - Home Design
We were thrilled to get the call from our former clients to complete the design of their entire home after hitting a home-run with their infamous green kitchen we designed 3 years prior. Designing a home that stands for over 100 years comes with many challenges, but we were very familiar with the home and the client, and knew exactly what ingredients were needed to make it sweet.

Luxury, Comfort and Warmth were our leading principles for this project. We achieve this throughout by pairing the home’s celebrated original woodwork with contemporary furniture and finishes. The main level of the home has a formal sitting room, family room, dining room and kitchen. Using the bold green kitchen cabinets as a foundational element, we utilize complementary color relationships throughout; greens and blushes with neutral bases.

The sitting room provides luxury with custom built-in cabinets, boucle and velvet furniture pairings, marble tile cladding the face of the fireplace surround and a luxury palm leaf accent wall covering. In the family room, we use the same palm leaf wallpaper on the ceiling to provide a familiarity from one space to the next.

The family room serves as the perfect space for intimacy with the feathered down, cloud chaise sofa that puts everyone to sleep. Adjacent to the family room, the dining room is the perfect area to host dinner parties of 6, atop the warm walnut dining table with fluted base.

Continuing the design principles on the second level, we use the complimentary color relationships and lots of light and airy neutrals for tranquility. After a long day of work, the primary bedroom space is the perfect place to relax, featuring our favorite luxurious element; the brass and marble side tables.
